Veggie burger with chickpea.

This evening for dinner, will come a vegetarian friend of my flatmate.
She asked me what she could prepare for her (she is not very practical in the kitchen), therefore, I offered to prepare you for this simple but delicious recipe.
I asked my flatmate, if her friend usually eats the chickpea and so I made this recipe.
However, I think this recipe would also be good for the children, who are usually reluctant to eat legumes or vegetables in general.
Try it and then tell me what you think.

Preparation time: 20 min
Cooking time: 5 minutes
Serves: 8 pieces
Cost: very low


8 burgers:
2 medium eggs
2 teaspoons mustard
1 shallot
1 garlic clove
Bread 2 slices white bread
1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
Salt q.s.
Chickpeas 500g

Bread rolls for hamburgers average 8
Salad q.s.
Tomatoes q.s.
Sauce Ketchup q.s.
Mayonnaise q.s.

Drain the chickpeas well cooked, then put them in a blender with the garlic, chopped shallots, mustard, eggs, ginger, sliced bread cubes, salt and pepper. Run the blender until the mixture is grainy: Now take out half of the mixture and place in a bowl.

Whisk then the other half until it becomes a creamy smooth and homogeneous. Put the cream in a bowl and join the other half grainy, mixing well for the two compounds. With the mixture formed 8 burgers you are going to cook on a very hot grill, turning on both sides. Serve piping hot chickpea burgers accompanied with lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise and ketchup sandwiches and classic bread burgers.

I did not all the photos because so much we have to  mix everything in the blender.
In any case, the mixture should be like this, I added the breadcrumbs to combine everything better.























More or less the burger must come this way.




I heated the sandwich on the plate, topped with mayonnaise, tomatoes and Sauce Ketchup. My flatmate’s friend does not like the lettuce, so I could not put it (strange for a vegetarian), but I recommend putting it there is always good.
